Apparently wrote in the late period of West Zhou(西周) by its sophisticated writing and mysterious allusions on an eternal subject: war.

Connections with Yijing(周易) and Chinese constellation(二十八宿) are analysised. The roadmap of this march and the rock are pin-pointed as well. All these advanced and sutle writing proved the poet was well educated full of his culture heritage, which most possibly happened after the mid-term of West Zhou.
