For Zhou people, reviewing the poem\/song in state wind(\u56fd\u98ce) is to review the local custom and terroir. The state of Wei is taken as humble and thrifty which is highly valued by ancient chinese as the key character of king and emperor, it is still the character of the people lives here today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A new interpretation is develpoed against the Han scholars(\u6c49\u5112) and later comers who all take Wei Wind as humble and stingy, in one word, a blaming poem. Thrifty or stingy? sounds a bit similar somehow, but they are fundamentally different. One worthy of prasing, the other blaming. In Zuozhuan(\u6625\u79cb\u5de6\u4f20), the value of thrifty was made clearly as \u6e05\u5edf\u8305\u5c4b\uff0c\u5927\u8def\u8d8a\u5e2d\uff0c\u5927\u7fb9\u4e0d\u81f4\uff0c\u7ca2\u98df\u4e0d\u947f\uff0c\u662d\u5176\u5109\u4e5f, in one word, the utmost respect is by simple and raw sacrifice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Characters \u5de6, \u8f9f, \u890a, \u523a are further analysed.
